Garlic Bean Dip

My verdict: Thumbs Up

This is Hummus with a twist and is so yummy! I’ve made it for two gatherings now, and thankfully doubled the recipe each time. I served it with pita chips and veggies (carrot sticks and celery). Since I double the recipe, I make one batch and add it to the serving dish before preparing the next. This is just easier since I have such a small food processor. I also keep forgetting to take “after’ photos so here’s just the before  =)

Garlic Bean Dip

Serves 6
Prep time 10 minutes


  • 1 can Garbanzo Beans (15oz)
  • 1/3 cup Light Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (minced)
  • 4-1/2 teaspoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 clove Garlic (peeled)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt


Step 1 In a food processor, combine all ingredients. Cover and process until smooth.
Step 2 Transfer to serving dish. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Serve with pita bread, pita chips, veggies or whatever else you want!
